War of Genesis: Idle Loot leaves Early Access: PC requirements and what runs it
War of Genesis: Idle Loot officially launched today on Steam, free and Windows only. Here are the minimum and recommended requirements, which popular GPUs run it and our Steam Deck estimate.
In this guide 5
War of Genesis: Idle Loot left Early Access today, October 7, and is now officially out on Steam, free and Windows only. It is an idle game: a 3D character fights and loots on its own in a corner of your desktop, and good gear can be traded on the Steam Community Market. Early Access began on September 10 and, according to New Normal Soft, peaked at 52,800 concurrent players. Right now it has 19,162. Since it is meant to stay open in the background, the useful question is not just whether your PC runs it, but how much headroom it leaves you.
War of Genesis: Idle Loot PC requirements
These are the Windows requirements from the Steam page:
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| GPU | GeForce GT 1030, Intel Iris Xe or Radeon Vega 8 (DirectX 11) | GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, GTX 1650 or Radeon RX 560 |
| CPU | Core i3-6100 or Ryzen 3 1200 | Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 2600 |
| RAM | 8 GB | 16 GB |
| Storage | 3 GB | 3 GB |
| OS | Windows 10 64-bit | Windows 11 64-bit |
Both tiers call for DirectX 11 and a broadband connection. There is no Mac or Linux version.
Which GPUs run it
Every popular card we checked clears the minimum and the recommended. The tightest fits are the GTX 1650 and the RX 580. Both grade B (Solid) measured against the recommended requirement, so they meet what the recommended asks for. From the GTX 1060 6GB up the grade rises to A (Smooth), and an RTX 3060 or RX 7600 lands at S (Overkill).
On memory, the minimum is 8 GB and the recommended is 16 GB. Our grades assume 16 GB, so with 8 GB you clear the minimum but fall short of what the recommended asks for. If you want more games that go easy on hardware, check our low-end PC list.
What about Steam Deck?
Valve has not verified it. Our estimate is based on specs alone: by that estimate, the Deck would clear the minimum and land at D against the recommended, with little headroom. The details are on the game’s Steam Deck page.
What the launch brings
The launch comes with the October 7 update, which had maintenance from 05:00 to 08:00 UTC. The highlights:
- New skins: each class (Knight, Ranger and Wizard) gets three Tier 4, two Tier 5 and one Tier 6 skin. They unlock at user level 20, and the Tier 6 skins are available for a limited time during 2026.
- Fancy Skin Boxes in the Shop and a synthesis system for duplicate skins.
- New profile images, frames, G-Coins, raid rewards and artifacts.
The studio’s roadmap lists the Tower of Infinity for Q4 2026. It plans a 100-player raid for Q1 2027, and a new class, a new hero and a higher level cap for Q2 2027. The studio notes that details and schedules are subject to change. The notes do not mention any performance or requirements changes.
