Privacy Policy

§01Hardware Detection
This site detects your hardware specifications (GPU, CPU, RAM) using standard browser APIs (WebGL, navigator). This data is processed entirely in your browser and is never transmitted to our servers for storage or tracking.
The only server request made is a GPU model lookup against our benchmark database to retrieve a performance score. This request contains only the GPU model name — no personal or identifying information.
§02Local Storage
Your hardware selections and preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage for convenience, so they persist when navigating between pages. This data remains on your device and is never sent to our servers.
You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings (Clear Site Data) or by using your browser's developer tools.
§03Analytics
We use two tools to understand which pages actually help people:
Umami, open source and hosted on our own server. It collects anonymous usage data (page views, referrers, device type) without cookies. That data never leaves our server.
Google Analytics 4, to measure traffic in aggregate (page views, country, device type). Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_*, up to 2 years) to tell visits apart. We run it with Google signals and ad personalization turned off.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, those cookies stay off until you allow them; until then Google only receives cookieless pings. Your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage.
§04Grow by Mediavine
We use Grow by Mediavine, Inc., a widget to save and share guides and get notified about new content. Grow loads a script from faves.grow.me and may store cookies and data in your browser to remember what you saved and to measure usage in aggregate.
If you create a Grow reader account, that account and its data are handled by Mediavine under its legal and privacy center, not by us.
In the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, Grow only loads after you allow cookies in this site's notice.
§05Cookies
The cookies on this site are the Google Analytics and Grow cookies described above. We do not show ads today.
§06Affiliate Links
Some links on this site (for example, to Amazon) are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, CanIRun.gg earns from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. If you click one, the retailer may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
§07No Personal Data Collection
We do not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information. We do not require registration, login, or any form of account creation.
§08Third-Party Resources
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts and game images from Steam's CDN (Akamai). These services may collect standard web request data (IP address, user agent) according to their own privacy policies.
