In this guide 4
Since October 22 you can try the Euro Truck Simulator 2 1.62 open beta. It is no longer just an announcement: you can drive the new garages and the three DAF XG+ editions today. On October 17 we told you these editions were coming with 1.62. Now SCS Software asks beta players to report bugs in the matching section of its official forums. This is a test build, so if you prefer stability you can wait for the final release.
What the 1.62 beta brings
- New garages across the map. SCS replaced the truck garage models across the base map and all map DLCs. The new garages have updated visuals inside and out, with more detail and a more modern look. On October 12 we covered the announcement of these garages and the Coaches DLC.
- DAF XG+ Emerald, Sapphire and 30 Years in Czechia. The first two bring green and blue paint jobs, exclusive exterior accessories and their own interiors. The third celebrates three decades of DAF in the Czech Republic with an anniversary design and dedicated upholstery.
On October 21, SCS also gave a first look at Edinburgh as part of its UK Rework project. The preview shows Princes Street, the Scott Monument, the Balmoral Hotel clock tower, the castle on Castle Rock and Arthur’s Seat. And from today through October 25 the studio is at Poznań Game Arena 2026 (Hall 5, Booth 56), where visitors can try the Iceland DLC and the upcoming Coaches DLC.

Which GPUs run it
Every popular GPU we checked clears the minimum. The difference shows up at the recommended level, and canirun grades are measured against that requirement:
- GTX 1650: clears the minimum but grades D (Struggles) against the recommended.
- GTX 1060 6GB and RX 580: clear the minimum and land at C (Tight) against the recommended.
- GTX 1660 Super, RTX 3050 and Arc B580: meet the recommended with a B.
- RTX 3060, RTX 4060 and RX 7600: have room to spare with an A (Smooth).
On Steam Deck, Valve rates it Verified. You can find the details on its Steam Deck page.
