Farming Simulator 25 is filling up again: on Steam it went from 11,590 to 44,169 concurrent players, days before the Beans & Alpacas expansion arrives on October 27. Before that, on October 20, patch 1.25 went live and added helpers to look after horses and alpacas. On October 17 we told you what the first previews of Catuaí showed, with coffee, bananas and alpacas. Here is what is new this week and whether your PC is ready.
What is new this week
- Patch 1.25 (October 20): you can now hire helpers for horses (riding, grooming) and alpacas (leading, shearing). Vineyards can be planted all year round, and there is new boundary painting for vineyards and olive orchards. It also fixes the moon rising instead of the sun at the start of a day, adds the progress of each construction step to the player HUD and gives vehicle displays a dark mode.
- Final tour of Catuaí (October 21): the map is inspired by the rural landscapes of Brazil, with wide rolling hills, tropical vegetation and a river that winds through almost the entire map, connecting farms, production sites and a village. Its signature is terra roxa, the iron-oxide-rich red soil of the region, alongside Atlantic rainforest and coffee plantations on the hillsides.
- Machine fact sheets (October 23): GIANTS collected the fact sheets for selected machines from the expansion, which it had been posting each week ahead of release.
One useful note for expansion day: in the patch 1.24 notes, which we covered on October 1, GIANTS warned that, as with all major updates, you may see stuttering on the first launch after updating, especially with mods or custom graphics settings, because shaders are being recompiled.
Farming Simulator 25 PC requirements

Which graphics cards run it
Every card we checked clears the minimum, but against the recommended the picture changes:

- GTX 1660 Super, RTX 2060, RTX 3050, RX 6600 XT and Arc B580 clear the minimum and land at C: tight.
- GTX 1060 6GB and RX 580 clear the minimum with a D, and the GTX 1650 with an F: the game launches, but it will struggle.
Grades are measured against the recommended requirement, with 16 GB of RAM.
On Steam Deck, Valve rates it Playable. The details are on its Steam Deck page.
