In this guide 4
Valor Mortis, the first-person soulslike from One More Level (the creators of Ghostrunner), launches tomorrow, October 13, on Steam at $39.99 or €39.99. It is Windows only, and the minimum spec is already demanding: 16 GB of RAM, a required SSD and a GTX 1660 Ti or RX 5600 XT. That only targets 30 fps at 1080p on Low with upscaling. On October 7 we told you it is also coming to Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Now the question is whether your PC can run it locally.
If you want more than the base game, the Deluxe Edition costs $59.99 or €59.99. It includes a major story DLC launching next year, plus cosmetic packs. The studio has also confirmed a New Game+ mode for later this year.
Valor Mortis PC requirements
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| GPU | GTX 1660 Ti or RX 5600 XT | RTX 4070 or RX 7900 GRE |
| CPU | Ryzen 5 3600 or Core i5-10600K | Ryzen 7 7700 or Core i7-13700 |
| RAM | 16 GB | 16 GB |
| Storage | 60 GB on SSD | Not listed |
| OS | Windows 10, DirectX 12 | Not listed |
The Steam page currently lists only the minimum. The recommended column is the reference canirun uses to grade graphics cards, so treat it as a guide.
The key detail is in the minimum spec’s own note: 30 fps at 1080p on Low, with upscaling on. In other words, the minimum gets you playing, with no headroom. And the SSD is not optional: the store page says it is required.
Which GPUs run it, according to canirun
Grades are measured against the recommended requirement and assume 16 GB of RAM:
- Below the minimum: the GTX 1660 Super and the RTX 3050. According to canirun, neither one reaches what the game asks for.
- Clear the minimum but struggle (grade D): the RTX 3060 and the RTX 4060. They run it, but they sit well short of the recommended.
- Tight (grade C): the RTX 3070, between the minimum and the recommended.
- Meet the recommended (grade B): the RTX 4070 and the RX 9070 XT.
Watch your RAM too: 16 GB is the minimum, so a PC with less memory falls short even if the GPU passes.
What about Steam Deck?
Valve has not verified it yet. Based on specs, canirun estimates an F for the Deck, meaning it falls below the minimum on paper. This is a spec-based estimate, not a real test. You can follow it on the Valor Mortis Steam Deck page. If neither your Deck nor your PC can keep up, Xbox Cloud Gaming is the fallback.
Can your PC run Valor Mortis?

| | 26,900 | 32 GB | 16 GB | ? |
