NARAKA: BLADEPOINT November 5 patch cuts loading stutter: what it means for your PC
NARAKA: BLADEPOINT's November 5 patch reworks resource loading to reduce main-thread stutter. Here is what the official notes say, what you need to do, the PC requirements and which GPUs run it.

NetEase published the notes for NARAKA: BLADEPOINT’s new patch today, November 5. Between the new hero and the ranked changes sits one line that matters to anyone playing on PC: the team reworked how the game loads its resources to reduce stutter. On October 1 we covered the requirements and which GPUs run the game. This patch does not touch those requirements, but it should make the game feel steadier on the same hardware. The game has 35,168 concurrent players on Steam right now.
What the patch changes
The official notes are posted on the game’s Chinese site. In the client optimization section they say three things:
- The team rebuilt the game’s underlying resource loading mechanism.
- Main-thread stutter during some heavy loading moments is noticeably reduced.
- As a result, loading is smoother and the game runs more stably.
The notes give no fps or load-time figures, and they do not say exactly which scenes improve. Treat it as a stability fix, not a measurable performance jump.
The rest of the patch is content:
- The new hero Kael.
- Bident, a weapon that only works in water areas.
- The Vanquisher’s Trials mode.
- Changes to the ranked system.
The Steam announcement covers the same update, with the same hero and weapon.
What you need to do
There is no setting to change: the fix comes with the patch. Servers were down for maintenance from 23:00 UTC on November 4 to 04:00 UTC on November 5. Just let Steam update the game. The notes do not mention any changes to graphics, drivers or requirements.
Two notes from the Steam page still apply:
- The studio advises installing the game on an SSD.
- You must disable Windows Memory integrity and VBS to play.
