Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest launched today, October 23, on Steam for Windows at $29.99. It is the adventure game from Bamtang Games and Trailmark Games based on the Warrior Cats book series: you create your own Warrior Cat, hunt, explore the Lake Territories and battle rival Clans. It arrives with momentum. Yesterday the Steam page celebrated 200,000 wishlists, and as of this writing the game has 4,922 concurrent players. If you pre-purchased the base game or the Feral Edition, the Purrfect Look pack arrives with launch.
On October 22 we covered what it asks for on PC ahead of launch. The Steam page still recommends an RTX 3070, so here is just the recap. The day before launch, a letter to players from Vicky Holmes, the original “Erin Hunter”, was also posted on Steam.

Both tiers require DirectX 12. There is no Mac or Linux version.
Which GPUs run it
canirun grades are measured against the recommended requirement, with 16 GB of RAM:
- GTX 1060 6GB: clears the minimum but grades F against the recommended, so it will struggle.
- RTX 3060: clears the minimum and grades C against the recommended, which is tight.
- RTX 3070: it is the recommended card and grades B, solid.
- Radeon RX 580: a caveat here. Steam names it in the minimum, but in the benchmark score canirun uses it lands below the game’s minimum, so we mark it as not clearing the minimum.
What about Steam Deck?
